Are you tired of sitting up close to the steering wheel because the clutch pedal needs to be depressed to the floor? This is your simple solution in getting rid of the extra play in the clutch that is not needed. This simple modification is unnoticable and will not void your warranty. The function of this piece is to remove all the extra play in the clutch so all you have to do is depress your clutch and the engagement point will be within a few inches resulting in better shifting and faster as well. All modifications are reversable. Fits all manual cars.
Compatible with all 2006+ 128, 135, 328, 335, 1M, and M3 manual transmissions. 1. Remove the three torx screws you see in the picture below.
2. Pull down the panel once the screws come off. Just be careful of the optical connector on the left hand side, that will just pop right off.
3. There are 3 plugs that you need to remove, they just come right off. The speaker wire pulls up and the light you see will twist right off or you can always pop them off as well.
4. As soon as you put the panel on the side of the car, you will see the actual clutch stop that is the OEM piece. That piece just peels right off the metal stem.
5. Install the speed nut that is included, you will need to use some force to install the speed nut as it needs to be snug. We suggest using screwdriver and plier to make the opening of the speed nut a little bigger to slide it onto the stem of the car itself where the stock rubber piece was.
6. Screw the new clutch stop onto the speed nut, just twist it until it stops, no need to make it extra tight, just make it tight enough where it doesn't move as you may need to take it out when you want to sell the car.
7. Reinstall and test out the new clutch stop. Now you can sit a little further back and enjoy the extra freedom.
